From sowing window to harvest day
Vegetables, fruit and cereals, tracked per field or bed โ with the soil, weather and disease-pressure context that turns a diary into a decision. Grovabe knows your variety, your planting date and your local forecast, so its advice fits your ground.
The numbers that move a harvest
Soil & climate
Soil moisture, temperature and growing degree days, charted through the season โ so "it's been a dry fortnight" is a fact, not a feeling.
Fruit set & flowers
Open-flower and fruit-set counts to read pollination and predict what's coming, plus plant losses so gaps get explained, not discovered.
Yield forecast
Track your own yield forecast in kilograms over time and see whether the season is trending toward or away from your target.
Days til harvest
A countdown from your target harvest date โ or an estimate from planting date and the crop's typical maturity, clearly labelled as one, never dressed up as a promise.
Pest & disease reference
A per-crop guide to the pests and diseases worth scouting for on your crop โ so a walk down the rows has a checklist.
Sales by weight
Sell by the kilogram, punnet or box โ cash or credit โ with live revenue and outstanding-credit totals per field.
Plant at the right time โ your call, our homework
Every crop in Grovabe carries its typical UK sowing window. Setting up chillies in July? Grovabe will tell you the window usually runs January to March and offer the next one, one tap away โ but the date is always yours to choose. Planning ahead is normal here: set a crop up before it's in the ground and the card honestly says "Planting", not "Planted".
- Typical UK sowing windows for every crop in the catalogue
- Split windows handled โ strawberries know about spring and autumn
- "In season now" chips show what's sowable this very month
- "Well suited to your area" suggestions based on your latitude โ never a filter
Blight alerts built on the Hutton Criteria
Nobody publishes "blight is going around near you" โ so Grovabe doesn't pretend otherwise. Instead it watches the hour-by-hour weather at your location for the Hutton Criteria โ the same trigger used for national blight alerts โ and warns you when conditions favour disease. The wording is always "go and scout", never "detected".
It's computed from real forecast data every day, costs you nothing, and cannot invent an outbreak.
Monday morning: how did the field actually do?
Grovabe's AI reads the week's soil, temperature and loss data for every field and writes a scored report โ highlights, concerns, and next week's recommendations โ grounded in your variety, your planting date and your local weather. Farma sits on every field page for follow-up questions, from "should I water today?" (it checks the real forecast first) to "what's eating the brassicas?"
How much could this land actually produce?
The Land planner takes your growing area, splits it between the crops you choose, and returns per-crop yield and revenue bands โ a sense of scale for your next season, honest about what needs a polytunnel to be true. Available on farm Growth and Scale plans.
